We are proud to be working with Sawbridgeworth’s Mayor Cllr Annelise Furnace in supporting the Sawbo Daily Mile in aid of the 1st Sawbridgeworth Scouts and the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. The Sawbo Daily Mile can be done anytime between Monday 29 March to Sunday 11 April, either by walking, running, cycling or rolling, while adhering to current Covid-19 regulations and we think it is a great way to get outside and stretch our legs whilst also raising some money for good local causes.
We plan to be out most days (every day work permitting!) and we will be sharing some photos on social media and would like to encourage you to do the same.
Here is what to do:
- Keep up your fitness and wellbeing by completing a Daily Mile
- Stick to the latest Covid-19 restrictions
- Do a Daily Mile 2 to 7 times a week – whatever suits you best
- Do this for 1 week or 1 fortnight – it’s up to you
- Walk, run, cycle or roll, and anything else that keeps you active
- If you can, get your friends and family to sponsor you per mile
- Donate here
Cllr Furnace says: “The Sawbo Daily Mile is designed to get us all exercising safely, helping with our fitness and wellbeing levels, and at the same time helping to raise badly needed funds for two of our fantastic local charities.”
Boyletts Law Director Kim Boylett says: “We will also be raising money for 1st Sawbridgeworth Scout Group and Essex Herts Air Ambulance through sponsorship and are looking forward to being regular participants over the two weeks that it is running – it is really time to give our legs a good stretch and get a bit fitter as we slowly and carefully start to move out of lockdown.”
The initiative is NOT exempt from the current Covid-19 rules and the expectation is that all participants continue to adhere to guidelines. Many thanks to all those supporting the initiative.
